Jakarta (ANTARA) – WhatsApp, an instant messaging service, is reportedly testing a new sharing feature that works similarly to “Quick Share” developed by Android.

This feature was first discovered by WABetaInfo in the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp and requires bluetooth to make a transfer files.

When tried, the feature allows users to share files up to 2GB in size.

Furthermore, this feature offers a faster and more convenient option than the sending method files conventional via chat or using storage clouds.

To be able to use the feature, users and their partners must be in the “Share Files” section of WhatsApp for the transfer to work, and they must remain there until the transfer is complete.

Shipping method files it still uses encryption end-to-end, make sure to share files as safe as the standard WhatsApp method. Interestingly, users need to shake their phone to start sharing.

The privacy aspect is handled well; transfer files safe and protected by encryption end-to-end.

During the transfer, the phone number will remain hidden and will not be visible to people who are not in your contact list.

This new feature is useful for regular WhatsApp users, but it seems a bit redundant with Android’s “Quick Share” update that Google developed with Samsung.

However, if the WhatsApp feature works on iOS and Android, this could be a breakthrough. If not, other platforms may still have better built-in options. This was reported by Gizmochina on Sunday (21/1).
