Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra was named “Gadget of the Year” at the 2023 Indonesia Gadget Award (IGA) event held by Gizmologi and GadgetDiva in Jakarta, Tuesday (14/11) evening.

“Gadget of the Year” is the top award at the second event held after previously being held online in 2021.

Gizmologi Chief Editor Bambang Dwi Atmoko said this event was a celebration of technological innovation presented by industry players throughout this year.

“This is a celebration of the technological innovation presented this year,” said Bambang in his speech at the event.

There were 20 other awards given at the Indonesia Gadget Award 2023. In the smartphone for business category, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 succeeded in winning the “Best Smartphone for Business” title, while the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 won the “Best Laptop for Business” award.

In the world of gaming, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 GX650 was named “Best Gaming Laptop”, while the ROG Phone 7 won the title of “Best Gaming Smartphone”.

The Infinix GT10 Pro was selected as “Best Value Smartphone for Gaming”. This cellphone is considered to offer a competitive gaming experience at an affordable price.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy A34 5G won “Best Smartphone for Creators” and “Best Value Smartphone for Creators”, respectively. Meanwhile, the Asus VivoBook 14X OLED was named “Best Laptop for Creators”.

In the world of education, VivoBook Go 14 and Redmi Pad SE won “Best Laptop for Education” and “Best Tablet for Education”, respectively.

Various wearable devices also competed in the “Best Smartwatch” and “Best Value Smartwatch” categories, where the Huawei Watch GT 4 and Redmi Watch 3 Active emerged as winners.

In the audio sector, JBL Tour Pro 2 received the award as “Best Audio Devices”. Meanwhile, for home entertainment, Samsung Smart TV won the title of “Best Smart TV”.

Not only gadgets, awards were also given to security solutions and innovation at home. Bardi was awarded “Best Home Security”, while LG Wash Tower was recognized as “Innovative Home Appliances”.

A number of telecommunications companies also won awards, including Indihome by Telkomsel as “The Most Innovative Internet Provider”, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison as “The Most Innovative Telco Operator”, and XL Satu as “Most Innovative FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence)”.

Finally, the special category “Gadgets for Women” was awarded to the Garmin Vivoactive 5.
