Jakarta (ANTARA) – Android 14, the latest operating system from Google for smartphones and tablets, debuts on Pixel devices, which are also products made by Google.

Google VP of Engineering Android Dave Burke via an upload on the official Android blog, Wednesday (4/10), announced the availability of Android 14 and what updates there are to the operating system.

“Android 14 is here and comes with updates that help you customize your device experience, giving you more control over health and safety, and improving accessibility,” said Burke.

Apart from Pixel, Android 14 can be enjoyed on various devices ranging from Samsung Galaxy, iQOO, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi starting at the end of the year. The Verge, Thursday (4/10) local time, reported that Android 14 can be used on the Google Pixel 4A 5G series and above, including the newly launched Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

In general, Android 14 brings updates in the form of improvements multitaskingrefinement taskbar, and improved support for foldable devices. One of the improvements brought by Android 14 is appearance customization for wallpapers, lock screens, to color palettes that can be adjusted to the user’s wishes.

Android 14 users can also set custom lock screen shortcuts with their favorite features, for example adding the “QR reader” feature or the “Google Home” application. This way users can have quick access via one tap to the most frequently used controls directly from lock screen his cell phone.

There are also features wallpapers Generative AI will first be present on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, users can have it wallpapers which started from his imagination and was transformed into images by artificial intelligence. A monochromatic theme is also rolling out in Android 14 for those who like a simpler, simpler look.

Google also brought improvements to Android 14 to increase HDR image quality to Ultra HDR. Ultra HDR will take and display high definition photos without changing the original quality of the image.

For users who have vision and hearing problems, Android 14 also brings more features. For example, the improved “Magnifying glass” feature in Android 14 is more intuitive, with a pinch gesture to zoom in and out from 100 percent.

For users who have hearing problems, Android 14 brings “Flash Notification” meaning that notifications are not only in the form of sound and vibration, but are now present in visual flashes of light when there is an incoming notification.
